Hi, I'm Chris Moore

Being a work-from-home dad isn’t a job; it’s a mental juggling act. One moment you’re writing a technical one-pager, trying to stand out as an exceptional employee, and the next you’re a chauffeur at school pickup/drop-off or a line cook, chaotically throwing together dinner. It requires juggling roles so fast you quickly lose your sanity.

My headquarters for this chaos is in Arizona, the world’s oven. I’ve been married to my wife for nearly ten years, and together we manage a team of two: a five-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son.

Professionally, I’ve spent almost the last 12 years entirely in tech. My most recent role involved building an in-house experimentation platform—essentially, creating systems to test which website changes work and which don’t. Now, I’m applying that same rigorous ‘test-and-learn’ mindset to my home-office dad-life.

The Philosophy

I’m applying the same rigorous “test-and-learn” process to my home-office dad-life. This blog highlights my personal hypotheses and experiments. If it’s posted on this site, it works because I tested and analyzed it, and it delivered results.

The Framework

I don’t believe in limiting this blog’s focus to a single topic because dads juggle multiple roles. Here is how I categorize the chaos into blog pillars:

  • Health and Wealth: Everything involving future-proofing yourself and your family. From lowering cholesterol and morning yoga to establishing family trusts and real estate investing.
  • Home and Family: This covers recipes that work for the family, parenting tips, and DIY projects around the house.
  • Tech & Career: The place where I geek out on tech/experimentation topics and describe my journey learning new technical skills.
